Pet Memorial - J-land anniversary

Sugar has been asked to establish a memorial to all pets, belonging to J-landers, that have passed away over the last 12 months. If one of your animals has gone to the Rainbow Bridge this year, send a picture and story to Sugar, via above link.

My last pet died in 2004, and I don't have a picture available. He was a neutered tom, who lived to be 16, in spite of being born with barely more than one kidney. We only noticed something was wrong when he suddenly blundered blindly off the bed he was lying on and collapsed on the floor. The vet diagnosed kidney failure and prescribed a low protein diet. Well, our cat promptly decided "to hell with the vet" and proceeded to catch and consume 3 mice a day for the next 3 years. He was fussy in the extreme, the special diet food had to be handfed to the cat. Because of his kidney problems, he was Thirst on Four Legs. Any water was fair game. Whether it was in the toilet, the sink, streaming out of a tap, in a dirty bowl outside. Or in a wide glass, containing floating candles, which were actually lit. I didn't give you his name: Strider.
