It's pouring with rain, although the gale has eased that was howling through the night. Looking back through the overnight readings, it reached 51 mph at 6 am. And don't I know it, having been woken up by the rain being hurled against the windows.
I'm trying to find rainfall totals, but the warning states 50 to 100 mm, which is 2 to 4 inches, just today. There has already been a lot of rain in recent days and weeks, so wet feet are to be expected in quite a few places.
Over in the Philippines, typhoon Utor is rampaging away from the western coasts, with winds of 125 mph or more. Thousands have fled coastlines nearest the storm centre, adding to the 100,000 that were in evacuation centres following last week's typhoon Durian. Flooding and mudslides are, as always, a major concern.
Notice somebody is watching the webcam, but all they'll see is raindrops on the window. It's not likely to get any better, any time soon.

I'm sending yoiu up some flippers and a snorkel Guido! Lol! We had sun all day today but the skies have darkened and the wind has got up in the past hour. Jeannette xx

Now you're getting the rain that moved over from Washington state. I think our total for November was near 16 inches. We had a little drizzle Saturday morning but it didn't last long. Linda in Washington
ReplyDeleteIt's raining over here in Southern California too. Not as much as you... which is kind of unfortunate, since we really need rain.. badly. It's getting to be rather droughty around here.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and safe, Guido..
