High springtides

Next week will see a very high equinoctial springtide. In Stornoway, the difference between high and low water will be a massive 5.4 metres or 18 feet. Those living near the sea or on tidal sections of rivers need to take precautions, in case of high winds whipping up the water levels even further.

This is the tidal graph for Stornoway for the next 7 days.
