Well, we're there again. Wind is flying up the Beaufort scale, currently at force 8, gusting to force 10. Eoropie, being in a more exposed location and higher up, does even better and has gusts of 59 knots, 64 mph, which is force 11. Rain is heavy, and walking up to the shop earlier was not easy in view of the strong winds.
Down in Australia, TC George has passed Port Hedland, but it will be several hours yet before its effects recede. The weather radar was knocked out earlier on, the radio station went off air, and the wind gauge gave up the ghost some 5 hours ago. Winds are reported in excess of 140 mph down there.

Sorry about that Guido. We woke up to some rain this morning but now the sun is peeking in and out of the clouds, with just a gentle breeze blowing. Hope things clear up for you soon. Linda in pleasant Washington state
ReplyDeleteHang onto your bonnet and your kilt Guido....Lol! We have had sunshine and light showers with no winds here in the English Lakes today. (Smug smile )

It's been gorgeous here Guido, no wind at all yesterday! It's currently 52F. They're getting it really bad in Australia aren't they? Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
