Eclipse pictures

As promised, the pictures of the eclipse. I've pared it down to 75 out of a total of 230. Of those 230, I rejected about half for being too fuzzy etcetera. And I omitted another 35 for similar reasons. I'm putting a few of my favourites below, they also feature in the gallery.

  5. We had an absolutely clear nightfall here in North Carolina. I had called my husband to tell him he'd be able to see it on his way home from work. He leaves at 6:00 and gets home by 7:00 pm... there was a beautiful amber glow just before 7:00, and then a few minutes later, I could see the sharp line of earth's shadow crossing the moon. The moon hung just a few degrees over my neighbor's house, and so it looked quite large, but my camera would not have taken a picture since I didn't have a tripod. Your photos look great. You took enough!! I love watching celestial movements. bea

  7. They're great pics Guido, I saw it on my way home and watched it from the bus window, it was a beautiful clear night to see it! There's another one on August 28th, I hope that's clear too so I can get pics. Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
