The Hurricane Center has issued a tropical storm warning for the Azores, the island group west of Portugal. Hurricane Gordon will pass straight over, either as a tropical cyclone or a very vicious Atlantic depression during tomorrow. Current windspeeds are 90 mph in its centre, with stormforce winds extending 40 miles in all directions.
