The
cyclonic storm Mukda over east central Arabian Sea remained practically
stationary and lay centred at 1430 hrs IST near lat. 20.00 N and
long. 66.00E about 400 kms southwest of Porbandar (Gujarat).It is likely to intensify further and move slowly in a north-northeasterly direction towards Gujarat coast.
Secondly, after we survived the sting in the tail of Gordon, we can now start to prepare for Helene. This system will start to influence the weather in the UK on Tuesday. This is still too far off to make definite predictions, but the Hurricane Centre said it could be even more powerful than Gordon, yesterday.
