It's not often you see a rescue enacted in front of your window, but that's exactly what happened this afternoon.

It's not often you look out of your window to this sort of view. The helicopter came to the aid of a yachtsman whose craft had overturned in Newton Basin - you can just see it to the right of the helicopter's landing gear. Full report in today's diary entry, later.
