Today's entries are only about hurricanes it would seem (so far), but it is important to note that there is a chance that hurricane John could scoot up the Sea of Cortez, between Baja California and mainland Mexico, and end up over the southwestern USA. This could lead to some serious flooding problems.
This track is highly UNcertain, so it's imperative to check the next advisory, which the NHC will issue at 0300 GMT or 2100 EDT / 1800 PDT. Further updates are issued every 6 hours.
