Tropical storm Noel is slowly ambling north and will pass through the northwestern Bahamas later today. The system is intensifying and will carry force 11 winds across the islands. Florida is not entirely safe and is under a tropical storm warning between Ocean Reef and Deerfield Beach.
Tropical cyclone 05A is heading for the empty desert lands on the border between Yemen and Oman. It will arrive there early on Saturday and simper out in amongst the sand dunes with winds of force 6 or 7 and some rain and thunderstorms. These are already affecting the southeastern coast of the Sultanate, according to the local weather service.
