They DO listen...

You may be aware that I copy advisories from the NHC onto my Tropical Cyclones blog, but in a legible format. Last night, I found an inconsistency in one of the bulletins. So, I plugged them an email.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to Public Advisory 17, I am confused with regards to the tropical storm warnings in force across the island of Cuba. In public advisory 16, the warning was lifted from the provinces of  Guantanamo and Sancti Spiritus. In P.A. 17, the warning for these two provinces is back on, referred to as "remains in effect".

Could you please clarify?

Many thanks,

  3. Well spotted Guido.  What would they do without your input ?  What must the poor folks underneath that storm feel when they see these forecasts too?
