Quick follow-up on previous post - the Indian weatherservice has woken up to the cyclone in the Bay of Bengal, and has issued a warning. At last. As I said before, this could be a very nasty customer.
The first tropical disturbance of the Southern Hemisphere season has cooked up east of Papua New Guinea, and will drift west into the Coral Sea, northeast of Queensland. It will take a couple of days for this to turn into a formal tropical depression.
