Advertising

Barbara (Life & Faith in Caneyhead) made an entry about advertising for alcohol. Suggest all read it. As far as I'm concerned, I think advertising for alcohol should be scrapped, just like tobacco advertising was banned in Europe.

We all know the dangers of nicotine. And there are quite a few in J-land who have seen the devastation wrought by alcohol. Either by losing friends of relatives to drunk drivers, or by seeing a relative or friend struck down with alcoholism and all that it entails.

  1. Its quite depressing watching the effects of alcohol on friends and family once they drink too much. If only someone could walk alongside them and video their drunken moments to replay next day....then they would see how repulsive and obnoxious they are and can look.   Alcohol is just as much a social drug as the others.  There is not much difference between them.   Jeanie

  2. I agree they need to stop advertising for alcohol. But, it's big $$.  I don't see that soon.
    Have a good day.

  3. Alcohol wouldn't even be allowed now if it had to pass the food and drug tests we have in place. It's the most widely taken recreational drug which destroys lives and makes people look and act like imbeciles. It should be banned. Jeannette xx
