Leaving my own personal problems with broadband this week to one side, I came across this warning on MSN against taking up cheap broadband offers. They cite AOL as having an excellent customer service record. Oh yeah? I'm not with AOL for my broadband, but my customer service appreciation of AOL is downright abysmal.

HI Guido,
ReplyDeleteWe have had MSN for about 8 years now. We ordered MSN when we still lived in Reno because of a "special" that came witht he desktop that we purchased and just stayed with it. We pay a real low price because be use BYOA. Our ISP is Sprint or now Embarq who actually teamed up with Earthlink (which I do NOT care for...lol).
But do you mean abysmal in a bad way or a good way?
1.Very great; limitless.
2.So deep as to be unmeasurable.
3.Very bad.
Personally I like AOL and have had very few probelms with it over the last 5 years. But now MSN, we have had a LOT of problems with, especially buying music. A lesson I learned was to stay with the best: iTunes! LOL
Take care,
Gayla

I've never had any troubles with AOL (yet!), and have been pleasantly surprised when I've had to deal with their customer service. Surprised because I've heard such negative things. I'm sure my times coming, though!

I haven't had problems with their customer service as of yet, but my friend Joey has. He's cancelled his account and gone on to MSN. We'll see what happens.
