Pretty non-descript day, with the exception that another gale has blown up just now. Temperatures have also risen from 4C (39F) to 8C (46F) since midday. My concern regarding Connie was unfounded, all appears to be well. I am also sad to note that Astra will be leaving AOL, as other priorities beckon. I was thinking that if you leave AOL, everything you did on the screennames would be lost - or am I wrong?

I am glad everything is well with Connie. I am thinking but don't know for sure that you can still keep your screen names and maybe your journals if you leave AOL but still get AIM through another server. Helen

I know if you are not on AOL you can still have a AIM sign on and even a journal. My friend Joni is on MSN and has a journal on AOL. I don't quite understand how that works but I guess it does. Gosh..you're warmer today than we are. At 9:40am Sunday..it's only 20 degrees here at my house. Maybe that pretty sun will warm things up a bit was the day goes on. Linda in Washington
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily pharmolo...aol does prioritize your computer that much I have to say and no matter how much you delete and uninstall there is still some residual files of aol in your computer.
ReplyDeleteYes, working for AOL there is a possibility to retrieve your journals should you come back again with the same nic.

Yes you can journal from an off AOL account but AOL still has priority over it and you have to go by their TOS regulations <TOS meaning Terms of Service>.
ReplyDeleteYour journals are public record, be they private or public and are by law, able to be turned over to any legal service who may hold a beef with what is stated in them.

When I awoke at 130am it was 34F here. COLD for our part of the world. Sunny and chilly today though at 53F. I don't have a clue about the AOL screennames. I think you just "disappear." But, I am not sure.
