Very stormy night after that beautifully sunny afternoon. Winds now reaching 38 mph, gusting up to 60 mph. My usual reporting site, Metcheck.com, is down, or at least not reachable. The barometer has plummeted by 13 mbars in 4 hours, going down from 1001 at 4pm to 988 mbar at 8pm.
On my shiptracker, 3 fishermen are approaching Stornoway from the north, looking for shelter from the storm. One is coming in from the south, and a fifth is already tied up. Wild night ahead!
