Thursday notes

Reasonable morning, with occasional sunshine and not much wind. This is contrast to the rest of the country, which is either under inches of snow (Scotland) or buffeted by winds up to 60 mph (southeastern England).

Anyone in those areas: please take care in either the snow & ice, or the high winds.

  1. Amazing the vagaries of the weather all over the world.  Here in the States it's SNOWING in parts of California and we're only NOW getting winter temperatures in the N.E. where I am.  Many things are giving us red flags as to the damage we've done to cause this global warming effect and mass weather anomolies, i.e. the leopard frog has almost died out in the wild.  When you watch what happens to the animal population, it gauges what's in store for the planet, don't you agree?  Thanks for the post Guidfo :-) xoxo CATHY

  4. Those winds in the southeast yesterday were diabolical but today we have sunshine and a stiff breeze! I read on AOL that thirteen people had died yesterday due to the storms. What an awful start to the year for their families. Jeannette xx
