Extreme Home Makeover - relay

Angie (CanyonSun04) has made an entry to put forward Lisa [seraphoflove9001, Please don't take life for granted] for an Extreme Home Makeover. I am copying what Angie has written, to give it the widest possible coverage.

I "heard" through the Jland Bird that someone mentioned sending Extreme Homemakover letters and such about our dear Jlander Lisa (Seraphoflove9001, Please don't take Life for Granted) who is disabled. She lives in a two story home, she uses a walking, cane and wheel chair to get around. Doorways are a huge problem, counters and overall space. She doesn't have a *real* bedroom OR privacy.  Sadly her body is TRYING to fail her but she continues to fight and not quit. She is full of hope and life and always has a shoulder to lean on and doesn't blink to put her own problems aside.

You see, Lisa really needs ONE floor that is handicap friendly, she needs HELP.  So maybe we could all write a letter to Extreme Home Makeover and let them know about our sweet friend.  Lets BOMB them in February with letters from all of us!  A friend mentioned sending them all to me, and maybe that is a good idea, but I'm going with my gut as just get them bombed all the time over letters from ALL DIFFERENT States across the US, show them the power we hold her in Jland and prove Magic happens!

On the back of your envelope in big bold letters lets put "J-LAND ANGELS"

Okay, here is what Extreme makeover lists on there web site for asking help for others.....

If you are nominating a family you know, please include their information throughout the

application. There will be a separate spot on the application for your contact information.

If you are nominating a family that you don’t know (perhaps you read a news article

about them), please just include the information that you do have and if we are

interested, we will locate them

  1. This seems like a good idea.  I had Lisa's address when I mailed her an electric blanket but seem to have misplaced it.  I mght have to ask Lisa to send it to me again.  I am going to look for it.  I do feel this might give her a big lift.   Gerry

  3. I did find Lisa's address in the e-mail she sent me that I had saved, so I am now prepared to write a letter.  She is trying to get the video done for extreme makeover right now.  I would like to see something happen that will give her a big lift.  I am glad to get this info from you.  You are always quick to help when you think it is needed.   Gerry
