Wow, that was some gale overnight. Howling winds and, after 3 am, lashing rains. Force 9, according to the readings, which subsided just after 6 am. The rain stopped at 10 o'clock, and I can see some blue sky to the west. Although the wind has not completely dropped away, it's quite a reasonable morning.
Don't make your bed in the morning. Leaving your bed the way you left it is actually good for your health. House-dust mites are thereby deprived of the moisture and warmish conditions which they need for their procreation. The mites (more accurately: their excreta) are blamed for asthma and a host of other allergy-related conditions.

ReplyDeleteI guess you weren't sleeping super well between 3am and 6am? Sounds rather intense. Hope few were out in it.
ReplyDeleteI knew of this informaton Guido and never make my bed until we get into it. I just fold everything back in half neatly.
ReplyDeleteYou deserve a lovely scoured clean blue sky after the night you have experienced. Howling gale force 9!!!!
Hope your weekend is milder.
Jeanie
I read an article about that last week Guido, apparently you should leave your bed unmade for at least three hours before making it. It also stops the room smelling musty. I did exactly that and I can tell the difference.
