Magnus Magnusson, best known in the UK for presenting the quiz show "Mastermind" has died today at the age of 77. Mr Magnusson, of Icelandic origin, was suffering from cancer.

His catch phrase was "I've started, so I'll finish". Mastermind is still going on, but now with John Humphreys asking all the horrible questions to the quivering contestants in the infamous black chair. At the end of the last series of the program, Magnus Magnusson handed out the trophy to the winner.
