Lucky to be alive

A girl of 10 survived a fall of 500 feet in the mountains at Glen Coe in Central Scotland. She had slipped while descending from the summit of Meall Mor. Her fall was broken by a small burn, although she did hit rocks on the way down. A shepherd was alerted to her plight by her cries. She was quite alert and was subsequently airlifted to hospital with a badly broken leg .

The girl had been climbing with a female relative when the pair had become separated from a group of five.

  3. She's so lucky! I can't understand people who go climbing in this weather, especially taking a girl as young as that, it's totally irresponsible. Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

  4. I can't understand how a group of five would be completely separated from the child.  Glad she's ok.
