  2. This was a sad event in this country to be sure. I hope they are able to rebuild someday. It's taken so long, though.

Two yrs later, billions spent by our gov'mt, yet so much left undone.  No leadership coming forth in New Awlins, esp certain wards which had nothing long before Katrina.  Unique, spirited individuals making heroic attempts, those are the ones who'll make a difference.  Much of the French and Latin Quarters have returned to daily business, it's once again the poor left to fend.  Those FEMA trailers were meant for 2-3 wks temporary living, whole families are still living in them 2 yrs later!  Same in Mississippi - no leadership.  CATHY

  5. Everytime I see the pictures of Katrina, I look at Pickles in wonder. To think she survived that as a 6 month pup is forever amazing to me. (Hugs) Indigo
