Tuesday notes

Quite a bright morning in the islands with a breeze and some low clouds over the hills. Better than in Mexico, which is taking a hammering from hurricane Dean as I type. Most tourists have fled the area, but local population hasn't really got anywhere to go. Even the hurricane shelters are poor.

Over in Minneapolis, the last body has been recovered from the site of the collapsed bridge in Interstate 35W. The 13th fatality, member of a crew repairing the roadsurface, was located yesterday. The heavy debris will now be removed from the site.

  1. It is a blessing that only thirteen souls were lost Guido.  It could have been so much worse looking at the size of the disaster.
