Midnight oil

Went out for a concert by Dick Gaughan, accomplished guitarist and singer. It was a pleasant evening, so even if it was dark when we came out (and it certainly was 40 minutes and 2 drinks later) I gave in to the temptation for a walk on the dark side. Just wanted to share some images. My walk took me from An Lanntair (where the concert was) and the County Hotel (across the street) down Francis Street (Macdonald's the butchers) and Cromwell Street to Lazy Corner, where a fisherman was unloading his catch. He had a good one, with prawns, langoustines and fish. I could hear heavy breathing in the harbour, which was two seals. And there was this colossal yacht tied up alongside.

I am behind with alerts, and will not be able to catch up until tomorrow.

  8. I loved the red sandstone building of the County Hotel Guido. The streets look so free of litter too!
I've never heard of your guitarist/singer but I'm sure he gave a splendid evening.  Look how he was sending you home afterwards...lol!  Smashing pictures of the fishermen's catch.  I miss the fresh fish taste of getting the early morning catch.  There isn't a patch on flavour by comparison to frozen fish.  Thanks Guido.
