Jams

The only jam that bothers me is the jam I put on my rolls at lunchtime. I can only smile beatifically when I read of the 30 tons of plasterboard that someone strewed across three lanes of the M25 motorway near Gatwick Airport this morning. Thirteen miles of tailbacks, 'engines off, doors open' as cars fuming give way to people fuming. Oh dear, I should not laugh.

  1. Traffic jams are most definitely a way of life here.  People who drive to work must leave several hrs ahead of time just to get thru the congestion.  CATHY

  2. As someone who uses the M25 (not everyday like my husband does) i can assure you it is no laughing matter.  Negotiating its many pile-ups, blockages at motorway exits, the inability to get off it necessitating at least two circuits before being flung off is a very serious matter.  So no tittering allowed or else punishement will be a lifetime spent on said motorway reminisent of groundhog day.

  3. That is one of the best things about not working outside of the home -- not having to worry about rush-hour traffic!
