Afternoon notes

The wind appears to be abating, although the wintry showers do not. The fall in temperatures is continuing and the mercury is only at 2C / 36F at the moment. We're going to have problems with iced-up roads tonight, and I haven't seen the gritters out just yet.

The roadworks have not yet finished, although the noise was not unbearable. The generators the contractors are using are quiet, and it is only the actual machinery working on the tar that make a lot of noise, as they tamp down the macadam.

Off to watch Hamish MacBeth on UKTV Drama (+1).

  3. We may have our first taste of wintry weather later today...ugh!  I followed your link to Hamish MacBeth ~ it sounds like an interesting show.  I like his little sidekick, Wee Jock.
