Storm warning - 2 November

Hurricane Noel is no longer a tropical system, and my Tropical Cyclones blog will cease reporting on it after tonight. Doesn't mean the danger is past.

Those on the East Coast of the USA, north of North Carolina, are strongly advised to take heed of the storm warnings that are in force right the way up to New England. I would suggest to have a look at the NWS website for specifics.

The area likely to be particularly badly affected will be Nova Scotia in Canada, with winds up to 90 mph forecast. The bulletin from Environment Canada makes worrying reading. Having passed Nova Scotia and Labrador, the storm will move towards Greenland and on to Svalbard. Noel will end up in the High Arctic by the middle of next week. A long way from the Caribbean.

  1. I'm so glad that it's out of the way of the Southern states but it's not good news for Canada is it? Jeannette xx
