Once again, the ferries up and down the west coast of Scotland are subject to numerous cancellations and delays. Our freight ferry left a few hours early last night, to beat the oncoming gales. She docked here at 4 am, as opposed to 8 am normally. The Lochboisdale to Oban ferry left 8 hours early last night, also to avoid being stormbound in the islands.
In spite of the forecast, promising us severe gales, the Western Isles do not merit a severe weather warning from the Met Office. This is a continuing gripe this side of the water - I suppose we're used to it.
