One of the first webbrowsers, Netscape, is to be withdrawn as of tomorrow, after its marketshare slumped to 0.6%. In the mid 1990s, it was the most popular browser, but its place has now been taken by Firefox (my usual browser) and Internet Explorer.

I have never used Netscape-never knew how-the pooder came with IE and that's what I use.Tis a shame though-lost jobs,etc...

I remember using Netscape long ago...until I found others then it was history. I can see why it is being withdrawn.

When 1st using www I had Netscape but soon saw IE offered more of what I wanted. Not surprised they couldn't compete, it's dog-eat-dog in eLand. CATHY
