Had a positively horrendous night, with howling winds and lashing rain. The winds dropped away by daybreak and it's now somewhat calmer. Wind is still blowing, but at least the sun is trying to make an appearance. Tomorrow? More gales. It should be quite mild though, a forecast maximum temperature of 11C. Currently 8C.
Three tropical cyclones to watch, one of which is within 650 miles of Western Australia. No immediate cause for concern - yet. Cyclone Hondo is now a category 4 hurricane, but is about 1500 miles from any land. I did notice a ship was sitting right in its path, when I checked the meteorological data on the storm. If you're on board EWLP, batten down the hatches and head north.

Another nasty night for you, geesh ~ seems the weather is crazy everywhere. We had doom & gloom forecasted and (thankfully) nothing materialized except some wind. Stay battened down!
