BT profits

British Telecom have announced profits of £8.8 billion. So why the bl**dy h*ll do we still have to wait literally hours for their customer service to answer the phone? I'm sure they can afford a whole new all-singing-all-dancing call centre, manned with thousands of well-trained operatives.

  1. Recently I had a problem with my landline and after ringing for eleven uninterupted minutes I went online reported the fault and it was repaired the next day.

  2. its one of those mysteries of life; like why Exxon had a huge profit last year and gas is sooo expensive; you think they would have taken less of a profit to make it easier for the poor trying to make a living and relying on a car to get them to make that living

  5. All the services make millions of profit and still the charges rise and the services get worse Guido I feel.Read this one Guido.

My neighbours phone broke a couple of weeks ago.I asked would he like to use mine to ring them.He did so.His answer was could you go to the telephhone pole where your line is connected and tell me the number it states on there .You will find this number about six feet up on the pole. The pole being about 100 mtr away .Not far realy but he had to go round the back of the property to do this.which is quite a walk for a sixty seven yrs old who is invalid.Grrrrrr How dare they.Needless to say I went for him after about 30 minutes he finally got a decent person on the other end of the line. Disgusted he was.I was left with my mind boggling.!!!

  7. More to the point Guido, why do some of us have to wait weeks for an engineer to call? I`ve been a BT customer for over 30 yrs and they are going from bad to worse...and like you say, it`s no point calling them because they don`t answer...grrr!
