Last Friday, a windturbine blew up in Denmark, after its breaking systems failed. It was a very windy day, and the turbine was spinning out of control. Denmark's TV2 carries a short clip of the actual disintegration.
And we're supposed to get 300 of those things in Lewis? Oh help.

That's a dramatic bit of video, there, Guido! I can't imagine putting something like that up without stringent safeguards.

ReplyDeleteTHAT is scary. Very scary. Given they are also being placed on England's south shores out in the sea, one wonders if a certain berth is now going to have to be given to sail around them, for fear of their imploding like that.
