Monday 11 February

Another sunny day, but now with strong winds, which could touch galeforce on coasts. The Shipping Forecast last night indicated as much, and it did turn out blustery. We can expect a maximum temperature of 12 or 13C, which is mid 50s in Fahrenheit, way above average for the time of year.

The oil platform, evacuated at a cost of £1m is being remanned. It appears that a catering worker told someone she had dreamed of a bomb on board the Safe Scandinavia accommodation block. Cue evacuation, Special Boat Service and bomb disposal teams on stand-by. Whether she was seeking attention or just telling the wrong story in the wrong place at the wrong time will become clear following a police interview of the 23-year old.

On Saturday, a major fire swept through Camden Market in North London. As a result, traffic is being diverted. This led to a double-decker bus taking a route too low for its height. As a result, its roof was ripped off and 6 passengers injured. More traffic chaos follows.

  2. Geesh, wonder what those poor folks thought when the roof ripped off the bus...I would have thought the bus driver would know better.  I cannot believe they evacuated the ship because a caterer had a dream...call me a skeptic but....wow.

Strange about that girls dream. I wonder if she was just seeking attention.
I heard about the Camden fire. How scary for the passengers of that bus! I can't imagine that!
