Evening notes

It's pouring with rain, the snow has gone and it's blowing a hoolie. Temperature has risen to +4C. Oh well, it was a nice interlude. Back to wind and rain...

I am saddened to learn of a shooting with multiple fatalities in Chicago. It happened some 5 hours ago, at 10.45am, when a man opened fire in shopping mall. Police are searching for a suspect.

I am now going to tackle my backlog of alerts. Here I come!

  2. I often wonder if we should even display this news on a national forum here in the States....It seems to be an invite for someone else to want to jump on the band wagon. A few years ago it was school shootings. Now it's mall shooting.....My prayers on the smoke are with those who lost loved ones in this latest travesty. (Hugs) Indigo

  4. Thanks for your support.  Haven't heard about the shooting yet, just turned on the evening news.  After working in Malls for about 17 years, I always knew the time would come when they would become dangerous, so sad.  Later, Joni

  6. What posesses someone to take life so cruelly?  Has life become unreal to people like this?  Are we de-sensitising people like this by allowing so much violence etc on TV and hand held games?
I sit and go through such a list and more when I hear or read of this kind of incidence.  Life is worth nothing to some.
    Its impersonal to them.
My thought are with the families who have suffered a loss.
