Friday notes

Cloudy, but with occasional glimpses of sunshine and occasional heavy showers. Feeling cold, only 10C.

Hurricane Ivo presents the forecasters with a major headache, as they don't know what this system is going to do. Baja California could be in the firing line.
Down in the Gulf of Mexico, something is brewing, and if you're on the northern Gulf Coast (or know people there), please monitor the NHC output closely. As soon as something forms, I'll let y'all know.
Typhoon Wipha claimed 5 lives in eastern China, a sad but fortunately limited toll. The storm came ashore as a category 2 - 3 typhoon, rather than a cat 4 as forecast. The rains claimed all the lives.

  1. We have had torrential rain all morning. It has let up for now. Just in time to keep me dry when I go for my afternoon walk.  <smile>
Talking of walks...anymore to read where the others came from.  I enjoy reading those Guido.  They take me out and about for a wee while whilst walking in your easy shoes....Lol!  The best way to go for a walk these days.
That was a limited toll after Wipha...thank God.  I watched some of that on TV.  Very scary!

  2. I'm wondering if Ivo could hit those resort towns farther down in Mexico on the Pacific ocean side?  The Mexican Rivera cruises start after the first of October......the ship we were on to Alaska will head south this weekend, then go from Los Angeles, to Cabo San Lucas, Matatlan, Puerto Vallarta and then back to Los Angeles.  It could mighty rough out there if there are hurricanes blowing thru.  Linda in Washington state
