South Korea is bracing itself for typhoon Nari, which will strike the outlying island of Cheju tomorrow, and mainland South Korea early on Monday. Winds will vary between 80 and 90 mph. The windfield is very narrow (60 miles), but the rainfield is not. I get less detail on the Joint Typhoon Warning Center's website (which issues warnings on the Western Pacific) than on the National Hurricane Center's site. Using the info they do provide, I can give some info.
Hurricane Felix disappeared off the weathermaps nearly two weeks ago, but the aftermath of this category 5 hurricane on Nicaragua continues to rumble on. The UN have asked for £20m / $40m worth of aid to the country. More than 100 indigenous fisherman were lost, and thousands are homeless and in need of aid. Read more here.

I had no idea of this devastation Guido until I read what it said in the link you provided. So many families without their father or husbands. Their income stopped. I hope aid soon reaches them.

They keep saying our rain is coming Sunday. Meanwhile it's overcast again today but already in the low 60's. A good day to work ing the yard. I need to prune my lilac bush and some other shrubs that are way out of control. Linda in Washington
