Hurricane update - 14 September

South Korea and Japan are dodging a silver bullet in the shape of typhoon Nari, which is set to skim between the two nations as 115 knot (130 mph) storm. In 24 hours' time, the typhoon will rapidly weaken as it speeds through the Sea of Japan. The far west of Japan is likely to experience tropical storm conditions, as is the far south of Korea.

Tropical storm Ingrid is heading northwest, to the east of the Windward Islands, which are unlikely to see her. Because atmospheric conditions are set to worsen, Ingrid won't be more than a tropical storm with force 9 winds. No land threatened, but it's heading in that general direction in the very long term.
