Foot and mouth

A new outbreak of foot-and-mouth (I believe it's called hoof-and-mouth in the US) disease has been confirmed amongst cattle at a farm in Egham, west of London. This comes on the very day that the European Union was going to lift export restrictions on UK meat.

Movement restrictions on livestock have been reintroduced in England, and parallel measures are being sought in Scotland and Wales.
