Tropical depression Ingrid has dissipated east of the Windward Islands, and no longer poses a threat.
Typhoon Wipha will pass just north of Taiwan in the next few days, on its way to a rendez-vous with Shanghai on Wednesday. Winds will be between 120 and 140 mph near the centre, with gales extending for 150 miles from the centre. My TC-blog already had 110 visitors until 10.45 this morning, mainly from East Asia.
