South America

It appears that the crisis, involving Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela has been defused.
During a Latin American summit in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean, all leaders involved shook hands. This included Nicaragua's president Ortega, who had also cut ties with Bogota. Colombia's government took a huge gamble by ordering the airstrike in Ecuador, but it has paid off. The FARC leader is dead, and another was killed by his own men.
