Advance weather warning

For those in the UK: watch out for Tuesday, which could see a spell of windy weather across the country. A deep depression will pass to the north of Scotland, with a sharp pressure gradient to the south. The low pressure system is expected to have a lowest pressure of 968 mbar, whereas the high pressure over the Alps looks set to build to 1024 mbar. The result is high winds. Please monitor the forecast over the next few days to see how strong the winds are likely to be.

  1. Saw this weather prediction for Tuesday on the tv last night. I hope they've got it wrong, as I have to go into Buckingham that day and don't fancy dodging trees, roof tiles and overturned lorries on the way. We've had so many destructive winds already this winter, plus torrential rainfall and the consequent flooding. In my little car, it makes travel very difficult and dangerous. Roll on Spring, although that's already started around here: Sparrows and blackbirds have been rearing young, my clematis are coming into bud and celandines are sprinkling my front lawn with yellow spangles.
Hope you are keeping well and out of trouble lol.
