Erin

Is the name of the tropical storm now approaching the Texas coast. Its rainband are affecting Louisiana and Texas, and winds will reach 50 mph by the time it makes landfall near the US / Mexico border at Brownsville. It will be slightly stronger than I previously relayed. Please monitor the NHC for updates, the next one is due at 12.30 CDT (around now) and the next full bulletin at around 3.30pm CDT (2130 GMT).

Follow Erin's progress on this site.
