I am sorry that I had to be the bearer of bad news yesterday, and even more so to see the effect it had on some in J-land. I can only wish people strength.
If anyone is worried about spyware - well, they should be. Check the following:
- is your firewall running and up to date
- is your anti-virus running and up to date
- is your anti-spyware running and up to date
You do have all of these things, do you?
Sweep for spyware using programs like Ad-Aware or Spybot Search & Destroy (Google for download links) monthly, if not weekly. Read this forum for info how you can get infected and how to get rid of the nasties.

My e-mail etc is checked daily for spybots by aol Guido and my Mackafee checks my virus and firewall. I hope that is sufficient as when I look at my weekly virus check I seem to have no problems.
ReplyDeleteSpybots are sifted out every day. I just have to delete them if they are not to my liking.
I'll take a look at your link later as I must get tea prepared for now. I have been writing all afternoon practising my calligraphy and the hands have raced around the clock!. I have been lost in time. (I'm rusty at it by the way as its been a long time since I have practised.!) Lol!

I thought i was covered with aol spy ware protection. wrong. I got something on my pc that was the devil to shift. The 2 programs you mention are good and worked a treat for me. A weekly clean is the best way to go.

I scan at the very least weekly, and usually more often than that.
