Sprouts
There was a dearth of these vegetables across the UK this Christmas. I know where they all went. To supermarkets in Stornoway. We were swimming in them, trolley loads of them. They couldn't shift them, sprouts got sold at 25 p per punnet. And I can't stand the sight of them anymore.
hi guido, I'll send my mum up to you she LOVES them. I can't stand them! Happy new year, will try to long on to see your fireworks tonight! mrs t x
ReplyDeleteThink of them as fun-sized cabbage, that might help lol

I love these with wam melted butter drizzled over them and a little salt and pepper. But yes, too much of anything ruins it and I can see how you might feel that way.

I love brussels sprouts ,and there has been some talk lately that there is something in them that helps to fight cancer ? ...love Jan xx
ReplyDeleteI like them if they are not cooked to death. Not very often though. Helen
ReplyDeleteHahaha, guess they couldn't get themn shipped to the other areas? Well, I like them, in moderation. Here's hoping for more balance in veggie selection in the new year.
ReplyDeleteGuido, I know why there was a dearth of Sprouts. It is because no one like them or eats them, have a great New Year, Bill
ReplyDeleteAnother thought that is certainly a great picture of a horrible vegetable. Bill
ReplyDeleteOh those darn old brussel sprouts. You either love them or hate them...there's no inbetween. Linda in WA
ReplyDeleteAn abundance of any food is a good way to start off the new year. I like them well cooked... it improves the flavor!! LOL!!! Happy New Year~!!

I think I would have been happier myself if it were chocolate! Sprouts are my least favorite vegetable.

I'd eat it wrapped in plenty of bacon. Bacon makes everything better. ;-P
ReplyDeleteYou can always come visit me for dinner. I've got tamales coming out my ears.
