Two hurricanes making landfall today: Felix in a couple of hours - Henriette similarly in a couple of hours.
Felix has regenerated to a category 4 system, which could yet hit category 5 before landfall. Winds at 0900 GMT were at 155 mph. The main problem with hurricanes is not just the wind: it is also the phenomenal rainfalls.
Henriette is making a beeline for Cabo San Lucas, the southern point of Baja California, where it will make a direct hit with winds of 70 knots, 80 mph, this afternoon. Am monitoring the radar from that town, and it already shows the storm approaching.
