This image should blow you away. It shows the moon rising over the eyewall of Hurricane Felix a few days ago. Wunderground photographer LRandyB, who flies on board Hurricane Hunter aircraft, shot that image a few days ago when his aircraft penetrated the core of Felix during the night.

ReplyDeleteWith all these hurricanes I just had to get over here and see how you were handling it. I am not surprised to see a very unusual hurricane photo. How about that aircraft. Wouldn't that have been turbulent? I just read your Artsy Essay at Judith Heartsong's blog. I am glad more people got to see those truly awesome photos. Gerry
